Services for Australians
[ Notarial Services ]
Certain Officials at the Australian Consulate-General have authority to perform selected Notarial Acts in accordance with various Australian Federal and State legislation.
It is important that you check with your legal adviser and/or the end recipient of the document(s) to determine if they will recognise a Consular Official undertaking the procedure required. It is also important to ensure that the correct legal terms are used as the incorrect service provided can have different outcomes. Further, you should be aware that Consular Officials cannot under any circumstances provide any legal advice.
These services are available from 9:00am to 1:00pm each Wednesday. Be sure to bring with you photograph identification which shows your current name and signature. A passport or photo driver's licence would normally be sufficient.
In accordance with the Consular Fees Act 1955, a service fee which will vary depending on the type of service you require, will be charged in Hong Kong dollars. You should be aware that the fee will be updated each month at the prevailing exchange rate. Fees can be paid by cash, personal cheque drawn on a Hong Kong dollar bank account, Visa, Mastercard or Diner's Club.
If you need to pay consular fees during our consular visit to Macau, exact payment in Hong Kong dollars will be accepted either by cash or bank cheque.
