Australian Health and Beauty... Naturally!
Australia is renowned for its natural beauty and when it comes to human health and beauty, nature’s approach continues to win buyers for Australian cosmetics and health product makers.
From the Kakadu plum (the world’s richest natural source of vitamin C and used by Australia’s indigenous population for thousands of years) to certified organic jasmine farms, Australian companies are leading the worldwide trend in sourcing natural ingredients for a wide range of everyday beauty and health care products.
More than 30 Australian manufacturers, some introducing products never before sold in the Hong Kong market, will unveil their health and beauty credentials to media and international buyers during Cosmoprof Asia 2009.
Australian Consul-General, Mr Les Luck said, “Australia has a deserved reputation as an innovative, clean and green producer in several markets sectors and cosmetics and health goods are no exception.”
“We expect interest from Asian and European buyers in Australia’s ability to develop natural, organic products for everyday hair and skin care and natural health products to be even stronger this year,” he said.
Among products to be exhibited are:
- Nature’s Botox by lapureté: a natural plant alternative to wrinkle-reducing botulinum toxin
- Koala Baby Organics: a new botanical product for mothers and babies from the certified organic farms of Jasmine Skincare
- eco.kid: organic biodegradable hair, scalp and skin products for kids aged 3 to 12
- Skinfix: organic and herbal multi-use creams
- Compression socks by Jackaroo Oceania: to alleviate tired aching legs and assist with blood circulation
Nutritional supplements and even cosmetics packaging solutions exhibiting in Hong Kong add to the ways in which Australian producers can contribute to constant growth in the cosmetics and health industries.
Cosmoprof Asia runs from 11-13 November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The Australian Pavilion is supported by the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade). Austrade’s bilingual team assists Hong Kong and Macau companies to find quality, reliable Australian suppliers.
