Based on the critically acclaimed memoirs of Raimond Gaita, Romulus, My Father follows Gaita's story as his family fled their home in Europe and came to Australia after the end of World War II. It tells the story of Romulus (Eric Bana), his beautiful wife, Christina (Franka Potente), and their struggle in the face of great adversity to bring up their son, Raimond (Kodi Smit-McPhee).
